The third edition will take place in April 11th to the 13th, 2018 at the World Trade Center, Mexico City
SIRHA MÉXICO continues proposing a unique content of its kind that will be of interest to industry´s professionals, which will also be counting with the Continental eliminatory for the Bocuse d’Or Americas, considered to be the best gastronomic competition worldwide. 11 countries from the American continent will be competing, such as: Mexico as host, Peru, Costa Rica, Chile, Uruguay, Argentina, Ecuador, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Canada and the United States.These last 2 countries where integrated to the continental eliminatory, the USA being the current world champion (2017).
The competition will take place on April 11th and 12th, where 6 teams will participate per day and in a time of 5 hours and 35 minutes they will have to prepare 2 recipes: one based on fish and the other on meat. The creativity in the creation of recipes, the interaction with the chefs, coaches and jury, as well as the visit of different decision-makers in the HORECA sector will allow the creation of a unique network of contacts.
There will also be continental eliminatory for the Coupe du Monde de la Patisserie: Copa Maya Goal: select the best pastry chefs. The Chefs will compete for 3 places where perfection and creativity are the objectives. 8 countries of the continent will participate.
At the national level, the 2nd Competition of the Copa Syrah Competition that develops a demanding exercise of harmonization through the direct connection between the kitchen and wine proposals. An effort aimed at promoting greater professionalization in the restaurant sector.
2nd Copa Mexicana de Barismo: A recently created contest that in its first edition was very successful and accepted. It returns in its second edition where the best baristas will present drinks in the following categories: espresso, cappuccino and brewing.
World Omnivore Tour, the young cooking festival returns for the second time to Mexico with new master-classes led by renowned Mexican chefs who will share their cooking techniques.
The Wine and Cheese Route, is an area for tasting and demonstrations, companies, marketers and distributors of cheese, wine, charcuterie and bread will be present.
Beer Brewing Territory ACERMEX, we have created a new area for the craft beer sector. Together with the Mexican Beer Association, we seek to promote the craft beer concept in food service.
Alliance for the hotel sector: Sirha Mexico and the Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels have decided to work together with the objective of joining forces and offering better benefits of supply to the hotel industry in the country. We also count with the support of the Vatel Club for the organization of gastronomic events, contests and dinners.
We also have the support of chambers, institutions, associations and media of the gastronomic sector, tourism and business.
For this third edition, it is expected to have 150 exhibitors and 12,000 visitors. Take advantage of the expertise of this event to develop a solid network of professional contacts.
