180 chefs – totalling 320 stars, Tuesday 24th, January 2017 gather in Lyon to celebrate gastronomy.
The Top Chefs of the World dinner will be held on Tuesday 24th January as part of Sirha trade exhibition. This exceptional gala evening brings together the most prestigious starred chefs from five continents at Lyon City Hall. The theme for the 2017 edition will highlight Southern Cuisine. Prepared by several hands, it will be conducted by Michel Guérard*** from restaurant Les Prés d’Eugénie – Eugénie-les-Bains in the Landes region of France. A total of 180 chefs from 26 countries around the world and boasting an impressive total of 320 stars will be gathered for this unique dinner at the very heart of the French capital of gastronomy.
A MICHELIN STAR-ADORNED BRIGADE IN THE KITCHENS
For the 2017 edition, Michel GUÉRARD, Michelin-starred chef of gastronomic restaurant Les Prés d’Eugénie, will coordinate the dinner prepared on the theme of “Southern Cuisine”. The aperitif cocktail will be entrusted to four young chefs from Lyon: Jérémy GALVAN (gastronomic restaurant Jérémy Galvan, Lyon 5ème), Gaëtan GENTIL* (gastronomic restaurant Prairial, Lyon 1er), Jean-Alexandre OUARATTA* (gastronomic restaurant Château de Bagnols, Bagnols (69)) and Lee YOUNGHOON* (gastronomic restaurant Le Passe Temps, Lyon 6ème).
The dinner will be prepared by Michel GUÉRARD, Gérald PASSEDAT*** (Owner-Chef of gastronomic restaurant Le Petit Nice, Marseille, France), Riccardo MONCO*** (Michelin star gastronomic restaurant Enoteca Pinchiorri, Florence, Italy), Arnaud DONCKELE*** (gastronomic restaurant La Vague d’or, Saint-Tropez, France) and Jordi ROCA*** (3-star family restaurant El Celler Can Roca, Girona, Spain). The staging of the dinner is in the hands of Guy Lassausaie** (gastronomic family restaurant at Chasselay (69) and Alain Le Cossec (Director of Culinary Arts – Institut Paul Bocuse)..
320 MICHELIN STARS FOR AN EXTRAORDINARY DINNER
Organised as part of the Sirha trade exhibition the dinner is hosted in the splendid setting of Lyon City Hall, with the presence of Gérard Collomb, Senator-Mayor of Lyon and President of the Metropole.
