On Tuesday 29th January 2019, for the first time the Abbaye de Collonges au Mont d’Or hosted the most prestigious gathering of Chefs in the world: the ‘Diner des Grands Chefs du Monde’. 320 guests, of which 200 chefs representing a total of 250 stars, payed tribute to Paul Bocuse in this emblematic setting almost exactly one year after he passed away.
The ‘Dîner des Grands Chefs’ was created in 2011 in honour of Paul Bocuse by Olivier Ginon, President of GL events. Over the different editions the event has brought together hundreds of chefs in Lyon, Paris, but also in Brazil and China. This year, it was at Monsieur Paul’s establishment that the now unmissable ‘Dîner’ has taken place, to celebrate the greatest chef of the century.
Chefs at the Collonges restaurant revisited the emblematic dishes that have marked the history of gastronomy: Christophe Muller, Olivier couvin and Gilles reinhardt drawn upon their excellent savoir-faire and warmest emotions for this prestigious dinner orchestrated for their peers and friends. The cocktail drink has been prepared by the brasseries Paul Bocuse and the Institut Paul Bocuse was in charge of the waitering.
